Extreme heat within compressors typically causes failure of wiring insulation. This can cause corrosion to the inner strands of copper within the wire used for compressor hook-up. This reduces the power flow to the compressor causing the unit to overheat and can prevent the compressor from starting. A MINIMUM of 12in. Of wire must be removed.
