REGISTRATION

Click on the "Registration" button in the upper right hand corner. If you are a current customer and need an online account complete the form and click on "I Accept". After submitting the form, your account will be confirmed and you will be notified. You must have an account with Capitol Group to receive a login.
You can retrieve your password by clicking on "Forgot your password?' in the login box. Instructions on password retrieval will be sent to your email. The request will be valid for 24 hours.
For security reasons, Capitol Group must validate your account and authorization to create a login on behalf of the customer account you selected. Capitol Group strives to prevent inappropriate login accounts being created against your account.
You can typically expect to receive an email confirming your account’s activation within 24 - 48 hours of registration during the business week

ORDERING

Once you have clicked on "Submit Order", your order is sent to your branch for processing. You cannot then amend or cancel the order via the website. Please contact your local branch or email info@capitolgroupinc.com.

You have the ability to add your part number into Capitol Group’s Web Commerce site for easy reference and search. You can use a part number that matches a number in your own system, or if you think a product should be identified differently, just add a part number! Your part number will appear throughout the website wherever a product is displayed. These numbers will even appear on your invoices from Capitol Group!
You may save frequently referenced products into a Product Group for easy recall later. Example A:You want a group of products related to a specific job type such has water heater install where you typically buy the same products for each installation. Example B:You want to group commonly ordered product together such as your top 20 fittings. Example C:You have a list of products you typically use to replenish a service truck’s inventory. Groups are whatever you decide!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If your account has the “Superuser” role, you can use these options to manage your staff’s web commerce accounts. If you would like learn more and get your account setup to do this, contact Diana Cox at dcox@capitolgroupinc.com or 217-793-8611.
If your account has the “Authorized Purchase Agent” or “Superuser” role, you can review, approve, and reject orders submitted by any General Users within your company. If you have tried searching by part number or product name, and you still aren't having luck, you have a few options:

  • Request the product through the "Request a Quote" feature.
  • Email us at info@capitolgroupinc.com
  • Call your local branch and we will help you locate the product or a replacement.
You can compare individual products from a category page or search page. Simply click on the box next to the text "Compare" to compare up to five different products. Then, select the Compare text to compare items. This will open a new page with detailed information including price, description, and product specifications. To more easily navigate the page, you can also highlight similarities or differences between the selected products. You can clear or update the list of products to compare at any time.

Quick Order lets you easily create an online order in three different ways. There are three ways to enter a quick order of up to 20 lines:

  • Upload an Excel document with the product and quantity you need.
  • Use our online form to enter the part number, manufacturer part number, or customer part number plus the quantity you want
  • Copy/paste the product and quantity you need into a form.

Our search box offer smart searching. As you type, the site will offer suggestions for you. We have filterable attributes on the left side of the screen. Many searches will reveal items not related to what you are looking for. This could be due to words or portions of words in the descriptions that apply to several categories of items.
